Apr 20, 2004Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for April 2004DENVER (May 7, 2004) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for April 2004. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 40.0 percent to 475,034,000 for April 2004 from the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 23.5 percent to 687,786,000 for April 2004 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for April 2004 of 69.1 percent, an increase of 8.2 points from April 2003, when the airline reported a load factor of 60.9 percent. The airline carried 487,584 passengers during April 2004, a 33.1 percent increase from April 2003. The airline reported passenger yield of 10.22 cents for the month of April 2004, a decrease of 6.8 percent from the same period last year. Its passenger Revenue per Available Seat Mile (RASM) was 7.06 cents, up .38 cents or 5.7 percent from April 2003.
