Jul 20, 2003Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary July 2003 TrafficDENVER (Aug. 6, 2003) Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for July 2003. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 38.0 percent to 471,414,000 for July 2003 from the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 11.4 percent to 588,708,000 for July 2003 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for July 2003 of 80.1 percent, an increase of 15.4 points from July 2002, when the airline reported a load factor of 64.7 percent. The airline carried 516,003 passengers during July 2003, a 42.7 percent increase from July 2002. The airline reported an average fare of $106 for the month of July 2003, a 1.9 percent increase from July 2002 when the airlines average fare was $104. Our July 2003 load factor sets an all-time record for our airline, and hats off to our employees who worked harder than ever to ensure safe, reliable and comfortable service to over half a million customers, stated Vice President of Marketing and Planning Sean Menke. The on-going roll-out of our branding campaign, combined with the growing strength of our EarlyReturns frequent flier program and flexible fare structure has attracted record numbers of passengers to Frontier for the past two months. As we add key destinations in Mexico and the U.S. and grow our Airbus fleet, we feel confident that customers will continue to view Frontier as one of the best values in air travel. The following table represents comparisons for July, fiscal second quarter 2004 and calendar year-over-year traffic results.
