Nov 20, 2002Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary November 2002 TrafficDENVER (Dec. 6, 2002) Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for November 2002. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 56.0 percent to 266,611,000 for November 2002 from the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 48.7 percent to 482,601,000 for November 2002 from the same period last year. This resulted in a load factor for November 2002 of 55.2 percent, an increase of 2.5 points from November 2001. The airline carried 297,407 passengers during November 2002. The airline reported an average fare of $108 for the month of November 2002, a 20.6 percent decrease from November 2001, when the airlines average fare was $136. Comparisons with November 2001 traffic and capacity information reflect a decrease in the demand for air travel and a subsequent reduction in capacity after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. According to Sean Menke, vice president of marketing and planning, Although we continue to operate in a depressed fare environment, we are very pleased with the level of traffic we carried over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. We applaud the outstanding efforts of our employees during this busy travel season, and their hard work preparing for our first international destination will culminate later this month as we begin service to Cancun and Mazatlan. The following table represents comparisons for November, fiscal and calendar year-over-year traffic results. Frontier Airlines November Traffic Summary
