Frontier Airlines Launches its Best Sale of the Year (So Far)



Fares as Low as $49* Each Way to Destinations across the U.S. and Mexico

DENVER, January 04, 2010 - We’re celebrating the New Year with our best sale of the year with fares as low as $49 each way to destinations across the United States and Mexico. Sale-priced tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. MST on Jan. 13, 2010, for travel through May 27, 2010.

In addition to the sale fares, Frontier is also giving its customers the ability to choose a fare that best meets their traveling needs. AirFairs, the airline’s new fare structure, gives the customer a choice of three fare types (on select Frontier Airlines flights): Classic, Classic Plus and Economy – each with varying levels of amenities.

  • Classic: Frontier’s best value! For just a small upgrade from the lowest advertised prices, customers receive advanced priority seating, two checked bags, 125% EarlyReturns® mileage credit and complimentary in-flight DIRECTV® among other amenities.
  • Classic Plus: Refundable ticket, advanced premium seating, same-day flight change, two checked bags, 150% EarlyReturns® mileage credit and complimentary in-flight DIRECTV® among other amenities.
  • Economy: Seat selection at check-in and 100% EarlyReturns® mileage credit.

* All: Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, January 13, 2010. Fares shown are for off-peak travel (Monday through Thursday); slightly higher fares apply to travel on other days. For Frontier flights, fares are each way; for Midwest flights, fares are each way based on roundtrip purchase. A minimum three-night stay may be required. Seats are limited at these fares and certain flights and/or days of travel may be unavailable, especially during busy travel periods. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but may be reissued for up to a $100 change fee (depending on the fare type purchased) as well as a possible fare increase to a non-promotional fare type. Previously purchased tickets may not be exchanged for these special fare tickets. For Frontier flights, flight segment(s) must be cancelled prior to scheduled departure time or the ticket(s) and all monies will be forfeited.

Milwaukee-St. Louis service begins March 1; Milwaukee-Raleigh/Durham service begins April 1; Denver-Louisville service begins April 19; Denver-Anchorage, Denver-Fairbanks and Denver-Jackson Hole service begin May 14. Kansas City-Ft. Myers, Milwaukee-Ft. Lauderdale and Milwaukee-Ft. Myers service end April 18. Fares shown reflect purchase at frontierairlines.com or midwestairlines.com. A $25 per ticket service fee will be charged for tickets purchased through either airline’s reservations center and airport locations, or the Best Care Club. Tickets purchased on Frontier’s Web site must be paid for with a major credit card at the time the reservation is made. Depending on the fare type purchased, a $20 fee may be charged each way for the first piece of checked baggage and a $30 fee for the second piece of checked baggage. Fares do not include passenger facility fees of up to $9 each way, the September 11th Security Fee of up to $5 each way, or fees of $3.70 per segment (one takeoff/one landing). Fares to/from Alaska do not include arrival/departure tax of $8.10 each way. Flights are operated by Frontier Airlines, Frontier Airlines dba Midwest Airlines, Republic Airlines, Republic Airlines dba Midwest Airlines, Lynx Aviation or Chautauqua Airlines dba Midwest Connect. Fares and schedules are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply.

U.S.: Fares are each way and require a 10-day advance purchase for off-peak travel January 13 through May 27, 2010. Blackout dates of February 11, 15; March 31; April 1, 5 and 12 apply.

Mexico: Fares are each way for off-peak travel (based on date of international flight segment) January 13 through April 29, 2010. Blackout dates of February 12, 13; March 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27 and 28 apply to flights to Mexico. Blackout dates of February 15, 20, 21; March 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29; April 3 and 4 apply to flights from Mexico. Service to/from Mexico may be less than daily. Maximum stay is 120 days for Mexico travel. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes. Agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $55 roundtrip are not included. For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $175 apply. For return travel from some countries, airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45 may be collected by the foreign government. Off-peak service to/from Mazatlan and Cozumel ends April 15. Passports are required for international travel.
