Fly Frontier Nonstop from Colorado Springs to Orlando and San Diego

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 18, 2012 - Frontier Airlines, the largest low-cost airline serving Colorado Springs, today announced the addition of nonstop service to both Orlando, Fla. (MCO) and San Diego, Calif. (SAN). This brings the number of nonstop destinations served by the Colorado-based carrier from Colorado Springs Airport (COS) to seven.

“Colorado Springs in an important part of Frontier’s network and the response we have seen from customers to the four new routes we start this weekend has led to our announcement of this new low fare service to Orlando and San Diego,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “With our low-fare flights, Frontier brings a unique, high-value service to the community, saving customers time and money, and we look forward to becoming a bigger part of the Colorado Springs community going forward.”

The news of the two new nonstop destinations comes on the day that Frontier is celebrating the launch of its new nonstop service from Colorado Springs to Los Angeles, Calif. (LAX), Phoenix, Ariz. (PHX), and Seattle, Wash. (SEA) with nonstop service to Portland, Ore. (PDX) starting this Sunday.

The new nonstop flights enable southern Coloradans to save significant time and avoid connections getting to these top destinations from Colorado Springs. Frontier will operate the new routes with 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft. Frontier is the only carrier to provide nonstop flights from southern Colorado to Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego and Seattle, and is the only low-fare carrier with nonstop service to Los Angeles.

Frontier will operate its 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft on these new routes. The Airbus aircraft features leather seats, DIRECTV^® in every seatback. Five rows of comfortable STRETCH seating with 5-7 additional inches of legroom and the airline’s new SELECT seating product are available on every flight. The airline’s website, FrontierAirlines.com, offers its guaranteed lowest fares and is the only place STRETCH seating and SELECT seating are available at the time of booking.

The carrier’s new nonstop flights will complement Frontier’s existing service via its Denver International Airport hub, which provides easy connections to more than 70 Frontier destinations across the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

In conjunction with the launch of service, Frontier is proud to announce its support of a donation drive for the Humane Society Pikes Peak Region.
