Frontier Airlines Reminds Travelers It Will Shift Houston Operations to Bush Intercontinental on July 11

DENVER (July 9, 2012) – Frontier Airlines today reminded travelers that it is shifting its Houston operations from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) back to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) effective July 11, 2012.

Frontier customers who purchased tickets to fly to/from Houston Hobby July 11 and beyond have been rebooked on flights to/from Bush Intercontinental. Frontier has notified passengers who booked at FrontierAirlines.com of the change to their itineraries via email. If the reservation was booked elsewhere, the customer’s travel agent was advised of the change.

According to the airline, its return to Houston’s larger airport will provide increased convenience and flexibility for Frontier passengers. “Bush Intercontinental offers great connection opportunities that will provide our passengers with additional travel choices,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “In fact, it offers the most flights of any Houston-area airport – including nonstop service to Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America on Frontier’s interline partners.”

The move also brings low fares to Bush Intercontinental, with Frontier being the only domestic low-cost carrier serving the airport.
